From the “I was today years old when I learned this” file comes this interesting tidbit from The Mac Observer. Instead of going into Settings > General and navigating your way to the shut down or restart options for your iPhone or iPad, you can ask Siri to restart your device.
Simply saying “Hey Siri, restart my iPhone” or “Hey Siri, restart my iPad” will restart your device. You will need to tap a confirmation button so well-meaning friends can’t ‘help’ by calling out the command (which won’t require the ‘Hey’ in “Hey Siri” soon) and you’ll need to be running iPadOS 16.1 or iOS 16 to get access to this feature.
