We’re just a few days away from Apple’s reveal of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro at its upcoming Wonderlust event. As you’d expect from a device that’s been in development for some time and in transit to distribution centres around the world, details are leaking. The latest is a look at the dimensions of the next iPhone generation.
Here’s what the leakers are saying.
iPhone 15 | iPhone 15 Pro | iPhone 15 Pro Max | |
---|---|---|---|
Length (mm) | 147.6 | 146.6 | 159.9 |
Width (mm) | 71.6 | 70.6 | 76.7 |
Thickness (mm) | 7.8 | 8.25 | 8.25 |
Weight (g) | 171 | 188 | 221 |
With rumours swirling that Apple will be employing titanium in the construction of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the result is that those devices will be lighter than their predecessors. And the iPhone 15 Pro will be slightly smaller but thicker than the iPhone 15. This strongly suggests the Pro will have thinner bezels while retaining the same screen size.
All the devices are marginally thicker than the previous generation suggesting the addition of USB-C has come at the cost of increased thickness.
The Wonderlust event will be taking place at 3:00AM on 13 September 2023 Melbourne time.
