With iOS 17 just around the corner, Apple isn’t waiting to give us new features in the apps that ship with its mobile operating platform. The Podcasts app gets a couple of new features in anticipation of the release of iOS 17 later this year. And those updates extend to the iPadOS and macOS versions as well.
The Podcasts app now includes subcategories within major podcast groups. And those subcategories has its own charts for top shows and episodes which are localised for different territories. The new subcategories include Mental Health, Relationships, Self-Improvement, Personal Journals, Entrepreneurship, Documentary, Parenting, Books, and Language Learning.
The ability to find content in specific languages has also been added. More than 20 different languages are supported including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
