The updates address two vulnerabilities.
The CoreAudio update, CVE-2025-31200, addresses a vulnerability during the processing of an audio stream in a maliciously crafted media file may result in code execution. The issue was a memory corruption issue that was addressed with improved bounds checking.
The RPAC update, CVE-2025-31201, was addressed by removing vulnerable code that enables an attacker with arbitrary read and write capability to potentially exploit Pointer Authentication to attack a system.
As always, we strongly recommend you enable automatic updates and keep your devices updated with the latest security updates.
