Apple has issued security updates for many of its operating platforms. iOS and iPadOS 18.4.1, macOS 15.4.1, tvOS 18.4.1 and visionOS 2.4.1 address a vulnerability that has been active exploited in the wild.

  • iOS 18.4.1 and iPadOS 18.4.1 can be installed on  iPhone XS and later, iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 13.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 7th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.
  • macOS 15.4.1 can be installed on any Mac currently running macOS 15 Sequoia.
  • tvOS 18.8.1 can be installed on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (all models).
  • visionOS 2.4.1 can be installed to Vision Pro.

The updates address two vulnerabilities.

The CoreAudio update, CVE-2025-31200, addresses a vulnerability during the processing of an audio stream in a maliciously crafted media file may result in code execution. The issue was a memory corruption issue that was addressed with improved bounds checking.

The RPAC update, CVE-2025-31201, was addressed by removing vulnerable code that enables an attacker with arbitrary read and write capability to potentially exploit Pointer Authentication to attack a system.

As always, we strongly recommend you enable automatic updates and keep your devices updated with the latest security updates.
