When iFixIt completed its teardown of the new iPhone 14, we learned that the iPhone 14 was completely redesigned. While it looked outwardly identical to its predecessor, its innards were completely different. But the same internal redesign hasn’t made its way to the iPhone 14 Pro.

iFixIt’s teardown of the iPhone 14 Pro reveals that Apple’s engineering team has retained its love for adhesive . Boot, otherwise, this looks a lot like the inside of last year’s iPhone 13 Pro, albeit with a new processor, satellite comms and upgraded camera system.

The benefit of the new design showcased in the iPhone 14 is that it makes the iPhone far easier to repair – especially if the glass back is broken.

But it looks like we’ll need to wait another year to see Apple’s engineering prowess in making a more repairable flagship iPhone
