When is a new store not quite a new store? When you’re closing one store to open another. Apple is shifting to a new store on 27 June 2025 at Forrest Place in Perth.
The new store will be in the old Commonwealth Bank building at the corner of Forrest Place and Murray Street that was previously used by swimwear retailer City Beach previously. The current store on Hay Street will close on 25 June 2025, presumably giving the company a couple of days to move stock and prepare its team for a grand opening.
Having been to a few store openings back when I was writing for Macworld Australia, there’s usually a bit of hype around store openings. Apple is celebrating the opening of the new store with a commemorative wallpaper for the Mac as well as highlighting content from Western Australian-based artists and storytellers in Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Books.
