In a sign that we are getting close to a final version of macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Apple has released new public and developer betas simultaneously. Developers are now on their seventh beta version while public betas are at version 4.
At this stage of the development cycle, most of the features that will make it to the final release are complete with the focus on resolving issues. A review of the iPadOS and iOS 26 Public Beta 4 release notes reveals a long list of resolved issues with any new features already documented in the notes for previous releases.
The same goes with the macOS Tahoe 26 Beta 7 Release Notes.
For software developers, as well as the new features that will come with macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, there are a bunch of deprecations that may result in the need to recode some software.
As always, we don’t recommend installing the beta versions on devices you rely on. Beta software can be unstable and cause applications to crash or completely fail.
