A foldable iPhone exists… kind of

A fellow in China has spent the last year converting an iPhone 13 from Apple’s familiar slab design into a foldable iPhone. By cannibalising parts from a Moto RAZR and using a 3D printer to create a new chassis, the enterprising engineer has created the first ‘in the wild’ folding iPhone.

There‘a little doubt Apple does not have its own boffins squirrelled away in a research lab somewhere in California assembling its own take on a folding iPhone. But like many Apple experiments, it may never see the light of day.

Or, we may see a folding iPad. The iPad mini is a good candidate for a folding device. Or a new iPad Pro that makes the second screen into a customisable keyboard.

In any case, this is an interesting project.
