You can watch the Apple event that never happened

It seems that Apple did some of the preparation for their iPad and Apple TV announcement today but decided to not have an actual event. However, they did present a glitzy video that would, most likely, have been part of a bigger event.

It’s clear that the Steve Jobs era is now completely over as Apple has transitioned, partly because of the pandemic and partly, I suspect, because Tim Cook isn’t really a showman. Most Apple events start with Cook but he quickly hands the reins over to his lieutenants who o all the new product reveals.

Nonetheless, Apple invested some time and considerable production skill to put together this introduction to the new iPad and iPad Pro.
