Will your Mac be able to run macOS Sonoma? If your Mac is more than a few years old, you may find yourself stuck on on older version of macOS. Here’s their list of Macs that will be able to run macOS Sonoma.

If your Mac is not in this list, then you may find yourself either updating your Mac or living with an older operating system.

  • iMac – 2019 or later
  • iMac Pro – 2017
  • MacBook Air – 2018 or later
  • MacBook Pro – 2018 or later
  • Mac Pro – 2019 or later
  • Mac Studio – 2022 or later
  • Mac mini – 2018 or later

Apple may still offer security updates for older versions of macOS but once your Mac gets to that stage, it’s time to start thinking about an update.
