New Apple Watch charger is inspired by the classic iMac G3

While Apple rarely looks back on its past, preferring to keep moving forward and looking to the future, there are plenty of Apple enthusiasts who want to bring some retro Apple magic to their desks. Enter – the Apple Watch Classic C1 Charger Stand by Spigen.

Modelled on the iMac G3, the Classic C1 Charger Stand pays homage to one of computers that helped extract Apple from the depths when it was just weeks from collapse in the 1990s. It comes in the classic colours  – Tangerine, Graphite, Bondi Blue and Ruby – and gives your Apple Watch a handy and cool place to charge.

The Classic C1 Charger Stand doesn’t actually charge the watch. It’s really a caddy that securely holds the charging cable for the Apple Watch in place. It uses the magnets in the charger and watch to hold in place.

For USD $34.99, you can get a small window in Apple’s history and your desk scores a nifty way to keep your Apple Watch charged.

Incidentally, I picked up a similar charger a couple of years ago, that is inspired by the Classic Mac II.
