Apple’s accessibility features extend right across all its software platforms. And while the Apple Watch is a great tool, its small display and reliance on sight and touch can make it difficult to use for some people. Apple Watch mirroring lets you to control an Apple Watch, running watchOS 9 or later from your iPhone.
What do you need?
For Apple Watch mirroring to work, you need:
- An iPhone running iOS 16 or later
- An Apple Watch running watchOS 9 or later
How do you control your Apple Watch from your iPhone?
- On your iPhone, launch the Settings app.
- Scroll down to Accessibility and open it.
- Tap on Apple Watch Mirroring.
- Turn on Apple Watch Mirroring.
If that route to Apple Watch Mirroring is too long, you can easily add a shortcut through Control Centre.
- Launch Control Centre by swiping down from the top-right corner of the iPhone screen.
- Tap-hold on a blank part of the screen and then tap ‘Add a control’
- In the ‘Search Controls’ box, type ‘mirroring’. As you start typing, you’ll see ‘Apple Watch Mirroring’ appear under ‘Motor Accessibility’.
- Tap the ‘Apple Watch Mirroring’ icon to add it to Control Centre.
- Tap on the screen to exit the screen editing mode.
