watchOS 26.2.1 has been released with to two important new features. Australians can now receive hypertension notifications via the Apple Watch. The Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved the alerts last year and Apple has been quick to add the new feature to compatible Apple Watch models.
Hypertension (high blood pressure) notifications require Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, and Ultra 2 or later models. The full list of countries that support this feature has been updated by Apple.
The Apple Watch update also adds support for Apple’s newly announced updated AirTags.
iOS 26.2.1 and iPadOS 26.2.1 have also been released.
Version 26.3 of all Apple’s major computing platforms is well into beta testing with Beta 3 now in circulation. That update includes improved Android-to-iOS switching and further groundwork for carriers to implement end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging. There will also be some cosmetic changes.
The big move will come with iOS 26.4. Apple is expected to release a vastly upgraded Siri that is boosted through the recent partnership with Google to bring its Gemini AI to the iPhone.
