While thinner devices usually mean lots of compromises to pack everything in, Apple has managed to avoid many compromises with the iPhone Air. iFixit’s team has scanned and pulled apart the iPhone Air ever and found that it is surprisingly easy to repair.
The iPhone Air battery fills almost the entire body of the device. The rear plateau houses the camera and most of the key components. iFixit’s scan and dissection of the iPhone Air resulted in a very high repairability score of 80%.

iFixIt says the iPhone Air is relatively easy to repair as major components are not stacked on top of each other. The internal design is simplified by only having a single camera and no rear speaker.
In practice, this should mean battery replacements will be straightforward. Screen replacement should be easier than in some previous models.
